People are so ignorant around Islam, and it's really sad to see so much hatred.
Amazing how the Right Wing really sold Americans on the idea that Islam == Terrorism, and in the grand irony of ironies, brought the Jihad of the middle east to ignorant, bible-thumping Americans. You now see Christian-extremists exerting acts of violence and terror directed towards innocent people.
I fear that Muslim-Americans will be a castigated group of people for many years to come. We just can't seem to ever get to a place where there isn't some kind of scape goat that gets all the hatred directed towards them - whether it be the African Americans, the Jewish, the homosexuals, and now the Muslims....
