Actually, I'm starting to like some of the penny stocks simply because they seem to exist in an more insular state, affected more by specific catalysts rather than general market trends. It may seem irrational to traditional traders, but it seems that once you establish that there is an actual business trying to emerge behind the ticker, you have a pretty finite number of things that affect them directly because the sentiments of the market-watching majority aren't always factored in.
