Nothing that we did not know at this juncture for those of us who have been following what's going on. There is the mention of a test Spicy Pickle unit in Australia which I thought was interesting. I guess the next 6 months or so will tell us if Laramie and his new team can effectively implement the changes and initiatives they described in the recent letter to shareholders.
The only thing that bothers me a tad is to read things like "...Many of these factors are beyond our control...." when mentioning the economic downturn and related customer spending curtailing which management is saying is the main reason for lack luster performance: well in the same period, Panera Bread Reports Q2 2010 diluted EPS of $0.85, up 31% over Q2 2009, on 9.9% Growth in System-Wide Comparable Bakery-Cafe Sales. And guess what, they're smack in the same market segment we are. So stop whining, roll-up your sleeves Mark and get that puppy going will you ?
