Like many others, my attention was drawn to AZTM this morning from the Topo Post at Raging Bull, concerning AZTM and the Carolyn Pipe. I immediately found that Scot Tobia and the corporate office were located in my own Indianapolis. I also checked the phone directory and found an address for the only Scott Tobia and noted it and took off on a "field trip" of DD.
I did notice that the Scott Tobia in the directory was spelled with two "T"s, and the AZTM Scot only bore 1. The "home" turned out to be a half double in a lower scale housing addition, and appeared to be empty from the street. I began to wonder about a "scam".
Checking the internet, I found the business address to be for a company that offered temporary offices and telephone answering services. The police detective mentality began to resurface.
Nothing left to do but go there and see for myself. The office was a multi storied office building in an upscale business area on the north side of Indianapolis. The building lobby was fitting for such an area and just to the left was a "100" posted by the double oak glassed doors. This was the address of AZTM, but no other sign was around the entrance. I walked into what would be considered a plush reception area and was immediately greeted by a receptionist.
Recptionist: Can I help you sir?
Noahltl: Yes, I am looking for Aztec Mining.
Receptionist: Well, you found us. Are you looking for Scott?
Noahltl: (Thinking: Why not?) Yes I am, is he in?
Receptionist: Yes he is just a moment. (As she dialed his extension). Mr. Tobia, a Mr. Brewer is here to see you. OK. Mr Brewer if you will have a seat he will be right with you.
A couple of minutes later I was greeted by a tall, maybe early thirties, man, dressed as though he had just come out of the "field". And later indicated that he had.
He escorted me to his office. Obviously a temporary office, it was well decorated but lacked the normal desktop clutter of a busy exec.
A long credenza stretched behind him, holding only a desktop computer opened to level II for AZTM. A shorter credenza was to the right against the wall, and displayed a bowling ball sized piece of green rock.
I identified myself to him as a representative of the Christian Traders stock board, and stated my business. He recognized the Christian Traders name and welcomed me to ask any questions I wanted to, with the caution that some things could not be discussed until a pending PR was released.
He quickly explained that he used a temporary office site because he spends his time at the site now.
I asked him about his association with the CMKX.com Website and he vehemently denied anything to do with it, and really wanted to know who had included him in it.
I asked him if he knew Topo, and he stated that he thought he may have met him at the Indy race last year.
I asked him about AZTM and how it came into being. He said he started it in 1998 after looking over some things and possibilities. I asked if it had been a shell or a new corporation. He stated that he started it new. I asked if it was a Nevada Corp., and he said that yes it was.
It was about that time that I asked him if the "rock" was kimberlite and he said yes. We both got up and went over to look it over and he got a sample case and opened it for me to also see maybe another half dozen kimberlite rocks about the size of softballs.
I had to ask, is that Canadian Kimberlite or South American Kimberlite? He smiled and answered "No comment".
I went on to ask him about the Carolyn. He was obviously familiar with Carolyn, but again would not comment.
Our conversation was intermittent as he continued to answer calls from inquiring shareholders, and he gave all of them the same answers. "Wait and read the PR. We are not like "some other mining companies" we want to inform our shareholders what we are doing, and we are only waiting for our Market Maker to get us the board."
And it was obvious throughout the two hour conversation, that that was what he was looking for, as he kept turning to check Level II for it to hit.
I asked if he had ever met Urban, and he said "no". He had hoped to meet him at the Indy race, but of course Urban didn't attend that one.
I kept returning to the Carolyn question from different angles. And from different answers, I could tell he knew about it, but he would not confirm anything. He did say that no legal actions had been filed concerning the disputed Carolyn.
I had to ask him, "why Indy" for a mining company. He was originally from Arizona, moved to Lexington KY, and then to Indpls. about 6 months ago for personal reasons. That would be why no listing for a one " t " Scott in the directory. As a matter of fact, it turned out he lives near me.
All in all, I believe the guy. He has a mining company, he has something, he is waiting like the rest of us for his company to go on the market so that he can tell us where AZTM is going, and how. I did ask him for an interview in our PalTalk room and he agreed. We will be setting it up as soon as possible.
For full disclosure, he did give me a golf ball sized piece of kimberlite as a souvenir of our vist. So I sit here with hammer in hand........contemplating. LOL
