OT: willy, there's bound to be some mba type or statistical geek out there that has done a study in the last five years to answer your query. where that study is---well, somewhere out on the wide world of wisdom i hope.

case in point...check out this 30 page paper and the statistics these guys produced about price and volume impacts of a pure ticker change.
