how is the report coming? is it completed? were you successful in getting the promotion?
with all due respect, beigle, please don't let your research of gc cloud your view of ctc. please allow yourself to take into consideration the bigger picture, too.
china knows what they're doing. ctc wants to be a partner in their development. for a country who until 1985 did not have patent laws in place (usa have had them in place for well over a century) are progressing quite well.
but, let us not forget TWO recent dates, however, that truly propelled the country forward: 1.) 13 july 2001 - the date the ioc presented beijing the world stage of hosting the 2008 summer olympic games, and, 2.) november 2001 - the date china was accepted into the wto.
very pivotal...
here are a couple links for everyone to add to their DD arsenal on china:
http://english.people.com.cn/200411/05/eng20041105_162864.html (pay close attention to the part in the article which reads, "...On the other hand, the supply of electricity and coal will increase because of the fast fixed asset investment in those sectors since 2004. New installed capacity of power generators reached 24.7 million kilowatt during the first nine months. The new capacity is expected to increase 40 million kilowatt this year. The country is likely to generate 2.1 trillion kilowatt hours of electricity this year, an increase of 13.5 per cent from last year. The power shortage in the fourth quarter will ease. But power supply in provinces such as Jiangsu and Zhejiang will continue to be tight this winter.") fast fixed asset investment = BLING BLING.
yes, ctc is looking to play on the world stage, too. they're just due will come very, very soon. for now they're prodding, ever so slowly...slower than some of us would prefer...but dotting the i's and crossing the t's in all the right places.
