I've done this for a long time, but really more as a long term investor in blue chips, mutuals and munis. I started the penny thing in 2009 as I was going through a mid life crisis and felt investing in penny stocks would be a better idea than cheating on my wife.

My gains have significantly outweighed my losses over the past 19 months, but that is because I didn't fall in love with the pennies when they ran. I've had 3 big winners and one big loser. I'm happy with my results.
