There are also some holdings where they own only ~30% of the claim. They may want to buy out the rest of these claims, maybe directly or by providing royalties. The problem is that the claims are old, and the heirs are often difficult to trace. I know SFMI had been looking into tracking down the owners. Right now it doesn't make too much difference since they can concentrate on the above ground ore and the holdings they have full claim to, but down the road it would make things a lot easier if they could consolidate the claims.
