And it's not as expensive as you think if you run ads during the LOCAL ad slots. Look at your own local channels... how often do you see smaller businesses like carpet dealers, door and window companies, HVAC places, etc. Here in Cincinnati they run all the time. And there is no way these companies are spending massive amounts on advertising.
That article is right, you can pick up ads on some local channels for $50 or $100.
My problem with TV ads... I skip through them using my DVR. I find most of the movies I want to watch by checking out Youtube trailers or see them posted on my wall by friends.
