1)ALL the wind turbine's manufacturer(WINDTAMER TOO) use FIXED wind speed to have a virtual production of electricity THAT'S THE FIRST ERROR!!! YOU MUST USE THE WEIBULL DISTRIBUTION using a factor of 2 as default!

2)ALL the wind turbine's manufacturer(WINDTAMER TOO) a power curve without explain clearly how they have the data and in what environment! Often they uniform there data to the sea altitude at 15 degree celsius -> IT'S A IDEAL SITUTATION AND NOT BE USE FOR YOUR REAL AERA!!! You must use data using a coefficient depending of your rugosity and altitude and average temperature!!!

WHAT IS THE INNOVATION OF WINDTAMER VS NORMAL WIND TURBINE:
They have build a design to accelerate the wind speed that go on the blade AND NOTHING MORE THAN COMMON WIND TURBINE!!!
PROBLEM OF WINDTAMER TURBINE:
1°They use more than 3 blades to have faster starting rotation of the turbine but when wind speed are >= 5 m/S you have much more brake of the wind and have a big reduction of rentability of the wind turbine!!! WHY ALL BIG WIND TURBINE IN THE WORLD HAVE 3 BLADES ONLY!!! IT'S BECAUSE IT'S THE BEST RATIO POSSIBLE!!!
2°To compare windtamer than other turbine you must use the diameter of the blade of common wind turbine and NOT THE diameter of the ducted aera BUT THE INLET SWEPT AERA USING THE ACCELERATION OF WIND PRODUCTED DUE TO DESIGN!!!
ex: WindTamer model 8.0 versus common wind turbine with diameter of the blade = 8':

WITH 3 m/s of wind speed in 15°c and Sea level!!!:
1/2 * Ro * PI= 1.9242
r = 1/2 * 8' but in metres unit it's 1.2991 m
a = acceleration of the wind in the windtamer design(20% to 30%)= 1.2 to 1.3 but here we use the worst 1.2 case to represente reality!!!
Pcommon = 1.9242 * (1.2991)² * (3)³
= 87.68 Watts
Pwindtamer= 1.9242 * (1.2991)² * (3*a)³
= 1.9242 * (1.2991)² * (3 * 1.2)³
= 151.51 Watts
You have near 73% of more energy produce than conventional design but the design of windtamer turbine cost the double more than a common wind turbine of 8' diameter BUT PRODUCE MORE ENERGY!
But if you take all the paramater to have the real wind that change all the time and the price of Kw are the most important think too!!!
YOU CAN UNDERSTAND THAT 3 DIFFERENTS CUSTOMERS OF WINDTAMER CAN HAVE DIFFERENCE OF PRODUCTION BY A RATIO OF 2,4,8 LESS DEPENDING OF THE WIND!!! SO, THE DESIGN IS GOOD BUT YOU MUST HAVE BIGGER TOWER THAT WHAT THEY SAID IN THERE PAPER TO HAVE MORE POWER PRODUCE THEN CONVENTIONAL BUT YOU INCREASE YOUR TOTAL PRICE TOO!!!
SO THE ONLY IMPORTANT PARAMETER IS THE PRICE OF KW!!! I THINK THAT THE PRICE IS NOT SO EXPENSIVE YET TO INVEST IN SUCH WINDTURBINE BUT IN 4 OR 5 YEARS YES BUT GOUVERNEMENT CAN CANCEL ALL HELPING FUND SO YOU HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM TOO!!!
THE ONLY SOLUTION FOR WINDTAMER TO HAVE SUCCESS AND NOT GO TO BANKRUTION IS TO DIMINUE THE PRICE BY 30% TO 40% OF THE ACTUAL PRICE AND THAT CAN BE A BARGAIN FOR THEM AND FOR COMMON SHARES AND CUSTOMER BUT YET IT'S JUST UTOPY TO BUY THERE PRODUCTS OR OTHER WIND TURBINE BECAUSE ALL WINDTURBINE IS TO EXPENSIVE VERSUS THE PRICE OF KW NOW EVEN IF YOU TAKE THE FREE TAX REFUND THAT YOU CAN HAVE IN US!!!

You don't have a company yet in the world that have made the best ratio INSTALLED PRICE/KW PRODUCE!!! For me the best all inclusive price is 2500$/1000 KW produce and windtamer must cost for the 8.0 GT version and from
5m/s aera(that represent most people aera) no less than 10,500.00$
to
7m/s aera(that represent a very little people aera) no less than 18,575.00$
