YESTERDAY'S AFTER HOURS NEWS : Cannon Exploration (PINKSHEETS: CNEX) is pleased to announce that the company will be returning to the "Queen Alexandra" property near the end of August to resume the exploration program. Additional line cutting followed by an Induced Polarization (IP) survey will be performed in an attempt to locate any massive sulphides, and continue the delineation of the mineralized zone. The company will also complete a detailed soil and rock sampling program.

This next step follows up the company's previous program, which was conducted in late May and early June of 2010, under the guidance of a consulting geologist. The consulting geologist was engaged to conduct reconnaissance geological mapping of a portion of the property, and to report on the geology, exploration and geophysical survey (VLF) performed on the Queen Alexandra property. The mapping and sampling program took place intermittently between May 24th and June 4, 2010, and covered 2.2 km of proposed grid lines located on the southern portion of the property. Several samples were also collected for the purpose of identifying the mineralization relating to property and regional geology, as well as for assaying. Excerpts from the report/survey will be made available on the company's web site.

The Queen Alexandra property is located near the historic "Gold Rock" Mining Camp, about 100 kilometers south of the town of Dryden in northwestern Ontario, Canada. Gold was first discovered in the Manitou lakes region before 1894, and the local "gold rush" occurred from 1895 to 1912.Historically there were about 20 "mines" in the Gold Rock area which would currently be classified as prospects. There are 61 known gold showings, occurrences, prospects and deposits along the Upper Manitou Lake area (Gold Rock mining camp), including three past producers. Ninety percent of the known occurrences are located within what is referred to as the Manitou Straits Deformation Zone (MSDZ).The Queen Alexandra property is located within this zone.
