Well, I emailed and asked what up with algae being grown at SA PBR

Knowing that harvesting takes place constantly and the algae will be used to inoculate the DVJ PBR, I was curious how much is actually needed for DVJ and what is being done with the excess algae harvested.
Thanks for your time,

I don't think I was exactly clear cause this is the response

Dear Xxxx,

The volume of inoculum will vary per strain. Each acre of PBRs is comprised of 4 quadrants and each quadrant may have different strains. The algae sludge or excess biomass can be used for fish food, animal feed etc.

This doesn't exactly tell us what is being done with the excess from SA or if they are giving it away or selling it for fish food, animal feed etc.
