that is correct...they man is an absolute WHALE in the industry! How many other start up TV stations had someone like THAT collaborating with them at an early stage???

MICHAEL JAY SOLOMON began his career in film distribution by loading films onto trucks for United Artists at the age of 18 while attending NYU at night. He joined United Artists’ International Division and sold theatrical films from Panama to Central America, and later Bogota, Colombia and Lima Peru. He then started up MCA/Universal’s Latin American Television Division while based in Mexico and later Brazil. By age 30, Mr. Solomon became MCA/Universal’s youngest vice president, and eventually had all international responsibilities.

After eight years with United Artists and fourteen years with MCA, he co-founded Telepictures Corporation, which went on to become the largest U.S. television syndication company (they created TV syndication) and one of the largest international television distribution companies, as well as the owner and operator of six television stations in the U.S. Telepictures became a public company (NASDAQ) after only 14 months under the leadership of Mr. Solomon as Chairman and CEO.

When Telepictures merged with Lorimar to form Lorimar Telepictures Corp. (American Stock Exchange), he became the new company’s President and served on its Board of Directors. Mr. Solomon, with his partners, led Lorimar Telepictures to become the largest television production and distribution company in the world, producing TV series such as Dallas, Falcon Crest, Knot’s Landing and many more at their studios (which was formally the MGM Studios and is now SONY Studios).

When Lorimar Telepictures was acquired by Warner Bros., Mr. Solomon became President of Warner Bros. International Television, heading up the company’s sales and marketing to television, cable and satellite companies internationally. Under his leadership, Warner Bros. became the largest (by 2.5 times) TV program distribution company in the world. He was also responsible for investments in the telecommunications area internationally. He is a co-founder of HBO OLE, the leading pay-TV service in Latin America, and opened the door to Western programming in China, Russia, India and many more third-world countries. He was the first international distributor of The Grammys, MTV and “E” Entertainment Channel, and is a Founder of the American Film Market Association.

Following a five-year tenure at Warner Bros. in which he increased international television revenues more than 400 percent and built a lasting international structure, Mr. Solomon left to launch his own television communications companies, Solomon Entertainment Enterprises. He distributed independent TV product to the international market and formed a partnership with Canal Plus (France) and UFA (Germany) to produce TV movies.

He later partnered with SMGBB (Shanghai Media Group Broadband) and RAYV, which streams Chinese language broadcast networks live. This is an exclusive contract for the next ten years. Thus far, five TV channels have been launched worldwide on the internet outside of China under CHILIN TV.

Mr. Solomon has also formed a new company with his son, Christian. Film Domain is an entertainment company focused on worldwide digital distribution and marketing of filmed entertainment to business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-customer (B2C) partners. Film Domain will aggregate, distribute, sell and license content to customers, while maximizing consumer interest and consumption. Its marketing efforts will take advantage of efficient, inexpensive internet-based strategies and partnerships with advertisers.

With unparalleled access to worldwide content, Film Domain will be able to create thematic web-based channels that are media platform neutral and that reach diverse niches. Film Domain will be able to leverage its first to market position with digital aggregators, leaving it perfectly positioned to seamlessly acquire and market additional product.

Mr. Solomon has partnered with three others and created the World Inspirational Network (WIN). WIN consists of live streaming technology via a set top box connected to your computer and TV screen, which enables the Evangelical community to see and hear the teachings and the message of many pastors and inspirational speakers on the global stage. For the first time ever, the technology enables the subscriber to select a topic and watch what every speaker has to say on any particular subject at the push of a button.

The initial goal is to offer ten to thirty different speakers delivering their messages on any given Sunday. Each message is then separated into subject matter, thus enabling the subscriber to watch and hear only the part of the message that they are interested in. WIN will store inspirational messages and subject matter so the subscriber can log on to a message or subject that took place weeks or months ago. WIN has signed an affiliate agreement with the Trinity Broadcast Network (TBN) to stream live content from this network. TBN is the largest network of its kind in the world. They are in the process of becoming an affiliate of other major inspirational channels.

Mr. Solomon serves on the Board of Overseers of New York University’s Stern School of Business (twenty-one years), is a Founder of The Sam Spiegel Film & Television School in Jerusalem, and was Founding Chairman of The Jerusalem Foundation of the West Coast of the United States. He was educated at New York University’s Stern School of Business and Boston’s Emerson College, where he was awarded an honorary Doctor of Law degree. He is a member of the international honor society Beta Gama Sigma. Membership is the highest recognition a business student can receive anywhere in the world.
