Aerius International Inc., (Pink Sheets:AERS) announced today that QIGI Bodee Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd., a NASDAQ traded company with offices in Beijing and Shenzhen China, will manufacture Aerius smart phones according to Bill Luxon, Aerius CEO, following his return from China.
"QIGI smart phones now in production can be retrofitted with Aerius antennas and new plastic housings one month after approval of Aerius smart phone designs. Assisting in this regard, Aerius Manager of Engineering and Marketing in China, Rani Wu, will be the Aerius engineering liaison working with QIGI," Luxon said.
Aerius won the Frost & Sullivan 2009 Green Technologies Award in Wireless Technologies in recognition of its development of a breakthrough cell phone antenna design that increases battery life 2 to 4 hours, increases handset range, and single cell coverage area significantly while reducing the frequency of dropped calls.
The Frost & Sullivan Green Technology Award to Aerius also stated, "By allowing cell sites to work efficiently by using up to 50% less power, this technology, when widely deployed, has the potential to reduce cell site CO2 emissions by up to 1.2 million tons per year just in the US."
Chuck Closterman, Aerius VP International Sales also stated, "Buyers with Amazon.com, Newegg .com, T-Mobile USA and other companies through our worldwide manufacture reps network have expressed high interest in introducing Aerius phones and will be given the first working Aerius smart phone samples from QIGI."
According to Closterman, "The same buyers also said when they put two phones side by side and they have similar features, and Aerius gives you 2 to 4 more hours of battery life and eliminates radiation exposure to users -- it's a no-brainer which one consumers will buy.
