This is the FIRST TIME Baltia has had an airplane ready for its first flight, even if it is for maintenance -
Why are they not announcing its departure ahead of time? - because they have the experience to know that some of the requisite documents, permits, and approvals (ferry permit is time limited, overfly permits have a narrow window, landing permit for fuel stop is date specific, etc - secured during business hours in different time zones and business schedules half way around the world) can't be issued until the last minute, and sometimes there are hiccups. Because of so many people ready to pounce on them if there is a hiccup, they are wise to not announce the date.
Now then - since Baltia has not gotten this far before, and is making progress, don't you think that an ounce of "benefit-of-the doubt" is warranted? If one cannot concede that, then "the cup is always half empty" approach is simply bashing.
