PowerPole. . . it looks like Ebert has a good product and probably will be a bigger player in that specific market than CPTC will be. However in California CPTC will have the advantage of lower shipping costs unless Ebert has a factory closer than Virginia. With a mandate by law in California to replace all the old creosote poles by 2008 they will be the biggest market for poles in the next few years. I think this particular pie is big enough to let several companies have a significant slice.

IMO in both the composite wire and poles one of the worst things that could happen to CPTC is for a competitor using the composite name in their product to have a catastrophic failure and the negative publicity from that would be associated with CPTC. That is one reason that even though 3M is a competitor I don't want to see any horrible things happen to any customer that uses their product. A drastic failure of any composite product in the industry would be a bad thing for all involved.
