Sovereign wealth funds from China, Singapore and S. Korea are diversifying after heavy losses in 2008 and 2009 in bank holding stocks. Chinese spent 32 billion acquiring substantial energy assets and nat. gas interests. Nat. gas prices will rise as demand for cleaner burning fuel increases and increased regulation grows, following the BP spill which will reduce deepwater drilling. Temasek recently bought 500 million in convertible preferred stock of Chesapeake. Thats one of the many reasons that I am LONG and buying more at these levels.
