Ludwig Enterprises, Inc., (PINK : LUDG) has developed and patented a new radio receiving unit (TheOne Radio(TM)) utilizing an unused portion of the data stream of the newly issued ATSC digital Television. Each radio will receive approximately 50 audio channels.
LUDG announced after market Friday the selection of Icecast Steaming to increase Ad Revenue. Patrick Greenish, Ludwig CEO, focuses on the financial benefits and states, "Icecast means more diversity and community content which translates into more listeners which is expected to yield increased advertising revenue.
LUDG is ready to deploy the first U.S. national ethnic radio network. Taking advantage of an underserved market: the 30 million foreign born listeners that together wield formidable economic clout. In 2009, the combined buying power of this group is more than triple its 1990 level of $456 billion and will exceed $1.5 trillion, a gain of $1.1 trillion or 242%.
Anticipating the excess digital capacity available, Ludwig last year filed a patent to take a portion of the excess video frequency used by a digital TV station, and divide it into 50 high quality audio channels.
