BVIG/KATX did take rock samples. How they determined what were in the rocks I don't know.

Of most interest to the company and importance to the property is the extent of Gold throughout the western, central and NE parts of the grid. In all three sections where high gold results are located in soils, rock samples have verified gold in the underlying outcrops with the central portion of the grid being particularly impressive, where soil results were as high as 5840ppb Au with 31.4 g/t Au in outcrop underneath this same area.

The soil samples may have been from last year however Ken Stead knows mining protocol and the laboratory that analyzed the samples is one of the best available.

The company is pretty excited and seems quite interested in proving the the property. They are following standard protocol. Just in case you miss some highlights from Press Releases:

The company is in the process of securing funding for a drill program that’s been planned for some time over the already established gold targets. This phase of drilling will be supervised by a P.Geo(Geologist)whereby a NI 43-101 will be completed with results being made available to the public.

The Board of Directors is very pleased with recent events and feels that 2010 will be a very successful year for the company.

KAT Exploration has secured funding for up to $5 million. The funding contract guarantees $1 million over the next 6 months and the remaining $4 million to be delivered upon agreements within the contract being achieved over the course of the following 6 months of no specific date. The funding is to provide operational support for Kat for at least the next 5 years. The funding was secured with 50,000,000 restricted shares.

"However, we are extremely pleased with the results which in turn show that the contractor who collected the soils did a good job. While the company was expecting good results, we never imagined that gold would show up in such a large number of samples. Just from a quick review of the results of the larger gold numbers, it is obvious that there are other areas on the property hosting significant gold and base metals."

The company thought it very important to stake the land packages around both these properties as gold is becoming the main interest amongst exploration companies today.
A total of 5,311 acres was staked around our Handcamp property along with 5,805 acres around the Twi-lite property.
This will now allow the company to carry out larger exploration programs in both these areas in a quest to extend the present gold discoveries.

The company will now proceed with its next phase of work bringing to the fore the full potential of this property. Ken Stead, President/CEO stated “we are extremely pleased with the results and happy to report that the “Handcamp” property will now receive a planned drill program.”
These main anomalies extend as much as 1 km (1000 meters) from the high grade zones where the first phase of drilling will take place. This demonstrates the significance of how widespread gold and base metals are throughout the property.

For the past several weeks the company has engaged the assistance of a contracted geologist to compile all property data in order to outline favorable drill targets and to submit all government applications for the approval of mobilizing drill rigs to the site.

KAT Exploration recently announced that it had discovered up to 5840 PPB of gold in soil samples and 31.4 g/t Au in outcrop at the Handcamp gold property. Due to significant gold discoveries thus far, the company decided to stake another 52 claims to the north in the same belt of rock covering several very impressive gold and copper showings extending the overall property to 37sq KM’s.

This drilling will test geophysical anomalies in Gold and other base metals in soil anomalies. The first series of drill testing will be carried out on areas where the chip samples returned results of 7.1 g/t Au (gold) mineralization exposed over 28ft in an outcrop showing visible gold.

Due to the latest discoveries of several new very strong IP targets the company has decided to engage the services of another geologist and geophysicist to work along with Mr. R. James Weick on laying out a very constructive drill program. These discoveries have created a much bigger work load and latest trenching has uncovered extensive amounts of sulphides over a strike length of 700 meters.

http://www.katexploration.com/PressReleases/Press%20Release%20Update%20Handcamp%20Geophysics%20and%20Drilling.pdf

To date six (6) holes have been completed with the seventh in progress. All six holes have intersected the mineralized zone as outline in soil sampling, Induced Polarization(IP) and
trenching. The purpose of the holes was to test mineralization near surface and at depth.
Zone #1 where the first 3 drill holes took place still show that mineralization continues at depth and will require deeper testing to determine the true depth of this area of the structure.
Zone # 2, 200m north of zone #1, where the latest 3 drill holes took place, showed even greater width at greater depths and is now being tested by DDH-007 to see if the mineralization
continues.

President/CEO Ken Stead commented "We are very pleased and excited with the drill program thus far and we look forward to the lab results determining the gold and base metal contents. One
would have to understand the significances of these drills holes hitting mineralization at such depths and width, with already known gold showings on surface above the drilled areas. And
taking into consideration the amount of mineralization discovered along with the limited amount of drilling in comparison to the known depth and 1400m strike length of the mineralized structure,
lends itself to huge potential for the Handcamp property
