That's just not true.

Someone always shouts this after a cusip or name change, and it never is the case. Normally that's the person selling the shares.

Everyone should think twice about this advice. It's just not true.


If what he said was true, the brokerages wouldn't allow you to sell at all. Do you really think they'll allow you to short sell and put your portfolio at risk like that?? No way..Not true!!!
