Rather colloquial in that most wouldn't consider "my heart" the likely anatomical location of "LUST", when speaking of the opposite sex.
I think that is what really disgusted a lot of people.. the association of "felt LUST" with "my heart". It suggests a lewd corruption of a man's inner soul, and of things that are considered sacred. If he'd simply said that he'd "felt LUST", but was saved because his "heart" was devoted to his wife.. the female half of the electorate would have swooned.
