I agree that this economy is in for hard times for quite a few years. I have a dilemma that I was hoping you may have a creative solution for?

10-15 years ago, I bought a lot of vacant land in my local area. It was pretty cheap. About 6 years ago, the place was booming and I could have sold every lot for massive profits. I assumed the good times were just beginning and only sold a few. Big mistake. Now there's a glut of vacant land for sale and probably 100 or less sales per year.

You think the market for foreclosed homes is bad, vacant land is worse. Compounding the problem, my broke state government is raising property tax rates based on boom evaluations. Carrying this land is now an onerous burdon.

Do you have any ideas on how I can liquidate a fair portion of my land in a nearly dead market?
