Why is that a breach of trust? Maybe his reasons for leaving a post stand are different. Maybe he wanted to leave it up so that people like you can reference it to show what kind of person I really am. Just like he let your libelous posts about me stand and just like he let your veiled threats to mmmary stand.

By leaving the post up, it allows you to link to the post whenever we have a conflict so that you can show what a moral reprobate I am. And in turn, I can link to your posts that demonstrate what kind of person you are.

I can see that you disagree with the decision, but it really doesn't seem to be a violation of "trust" on Matt's part. Rather, I see it as a disagreement on policy.
