According to the above, the old HR 4213 is being revived and will be the subject of yet another cloture vote. As you may recall, this measure still includes extension of the $1.00 per gallon tax relief to the end of the year.
I've been under the impression that Senator Reid's stand alone version would be the offering (unemployment only), but not according to the Senate schedule which clearly shows 4213.
It is generally felt that the 60 votes required to break the Republican filibuster will be available with the seating of deceased Senator Byrd's replacement.
Even if good for only 5 1/2 months, this could be a game changer. Per my entry analysis, the $1.00 per gallon subsidy is a must for this venture to be successful, its absence being in large part the reason for the call for lower share prices.
The vote will be telecast on C-Span at 2:30 PM EDT.
