Mac Mini G4 vs system bus -

dilleet - It is likely that many operations get limited by that 167MHz bus. I was surprised to see that is common across the G4 eMac, Mini, PowerBook, up through the 1.5GHz PowerBook. No difference with processor speed. The iBook runs at 133MHz bus.

So, if the bus limits the processor and most of the 13% CPU speed increase is wasted, the only thing you get for the extra $100 in the top mini is 40 more GB's of hard drive. $2.5/GB is no deal.
