How pray tell, did you arrive at this optimistic conclusion? Btw, any of Sunncomm's files can be played through a computer and the analog wavefore can then be re-digitized by the sound card without any copy protection... this has always been known as the analog hole and was something that DarkNoise eliminated.
Yes the resulting DAD digital copy is inferior but with some of the really high end sound cards the degradation in quality is barely identifiable to even trained ears.
DarkNoise is still a viable concept, but it will take some real magicians to make it work... a job for someone like Dolby Labs rather than a University.
