Possible big-name collaborators &/or affiliations [?].
But 1st....another word on the MEMS tech I spoke of before: While pointing-out a possible [?] link to Qualcomm & MEMS tech , I failed to notice that Dr.Bob also has some experience in this arena as well... *see last paragraph: http://www.solterrasolarcells.com/media_press_032310.php
Back on the subject of possible affiliations.... While surfing for news today, I came across a few (highly speculative) tidbits that may be of some interest...either now, or in the future.
As is likely known by many here, there are a number of very big names that are collaborators in KAUST solar research projects. Institutions like Stanford & Cornell (among many others) from the educational sector and names like Aramco, IBM & Boeing from the commercial sector.
Connecting the (speculative) DOTS one step further...from David Doderer's Linked-In page, I found this name as someone who has visited Doderer's page: Brian Wehrung Engineering Manager at Stirling Energy Systems
What does all this mean ? Maybe just some vague coincidences, maybe the start of a beautiful friendship (a Bogart line from Casablanca). From KAUST & Boeing on the front-end of this train-of-thought to Boeing & Stirling Energy to Stirling & Solterra on the back-end, maybe [just 'maybe' ?] there might be something more to this. Purely speculation on my part at this point. These guys are primarily into CSP but appear to be at least looking at Nano as well. --------------------------------------------------------------------------
On another subject; I noticed on Squires Linked-In page that he has added this to his list of groups he has joined...don't knowif this means much but may be worth noting: "North Texas RCIC .....
