How REALISTIC is the implementation and wide usage of the technology "TODAY" - meaning - there have been lots of good ideas: many of them have been around for a long time unimplemented because of vested interests in keeping the status quo in terms of power source.
For example: getting people the ability to live OFF GRID. Some pioneering people on the Big Island here do that. Great; but my first thought was - how widely would this be allowed - are there not vested interests, large corporations, wanting to keep us dependent on paying for fuel, electricity? HOW LONG would a real change in this area occur?
I have not read widely enough the DD because when I began to do it, I had no way to judge how, or more important to me, when, the good stuff I was reading about would really broadly be bought into widely. How many years? 10-20? Less?
Heavily invested.
