Matt, you are a smart man but I sometimes wonder where you come up with this stuff. Laidlaw is a company that has been trying for 10 years to generate power and has not yet succeeded. They have defaulted on payments to their own legal council and have basically screwed Waldron Engineering. They have also squandered grant money provided to them by the State of NY and they have attempted two frivolous lawsuits against the town of Ellicottville, NY (and failed in both lawsuits, of course). Nobody takes these clowns seriously except the City of Berlin (a city filled with people who are quite gullible). This is a pinky company that doesn't command any power or respect whatsoever. They have no revenue so they have very little influence or ability to make any large scale purchases and likely have a very limited ability to obtain any type of large scale financing. In reality, the Berlin project is going to succeed only because PSNH is going to make it happen (not because of any inherent skills that the management of Laidlaw possesses). Any other proposed Laidlaw projects that you mention are pure fantasy in the minds of investors (IMHO). Good luck and happy 4th........Brungy.
