njguy21, there's not much info about Herda on the web. From what I have found it seems to me that he was working with Paul Brown for some time (a few years) before forming NSOL. I recall seeing something that suggested he was involved in the company that preceded Global Atomics. (I forget, was it Peripheral Systems?)

I infer from the NSOL PR and filings that he did not graduate from college, although he was enrolled in two. (If somebody knows I'm wrong, please correct me.)

His name is on at least one of the patents - I forget which one.

I think he's still under 40.

Maybe some of the long-timers can fill in with more info.
