Posted the message below on other board. Would appreciate any comments or ideas:

To avoid a $50 complete account transfer fee from Waterhouse to Ameritrade, I just completed a partial transfer of 400,000 of my 500,000 FASC shares for free. In order to partial transfer the other 100,000 shares free, I need to have temporarilly at least one other stock in the account at the time--preferably two. Then after completing the final 100,000 FASC transfer, I can sell new stock(s), write out a check for most of the balance in account, and then notify them to send me a check for the small balance to close out the account. Perhaps a lot of work, Yet I dislike giving Waterhouse that $50 fee.

Explained the above as I am looking for a couple of stocks that look like they might be good candidates for at least short term trading. Anyone have any advise on the above? Would appreciate it. Waitedg
