The majority of the world has no health care benefits. China comes to mind. But then again, they drown their baby girls because of the one child law. I don't think they sit around 24/7 wishing they had an obama to give them free healthcare, do you?
The majority of bankruptcies in the US is because people overextended themselves with a house, then bought a new car on credit, then took out a 2nd mortgage for another car, then a 3rd mortgage to go on vacation, then ran up credit cards until their debt payment was more than their income.. then they take the easy way out by screwing their credit card companies and/or filing bankruptcy.
There are people that get sick, don't have healthcare and don't have a big pile of money available, but they can't be turned away from a hospital. I notice you didn't mention the hospitals closing because of all the illegals using their existing free service. What happened before there was health care benefits? People had to pay for their doctor visits and medicine (there weren't as many life saving drugs back then, if you had a bad doctor or in a poverty area you died. Tell me how being forced to buy health care will make people actually healthier? How about raising the tax on cigs to say... $100 per pack and tax alcohol higher, and a big tax on soda pop and junk food and McDonalds??
If socialized medicine gets cheaper per head, all Americans should be absorbed into the Canada system, because they will save so much money it will become truely free, right?
