Rather than focusing on extended dates, I would rather focus on whether the obstacles were overcome. Anyone who has tried to sell a house or other large item will have first hand experience how thing get delayed but eventually gets worked out. Also, despite being negative, you should at least offer your good luck wishes for those who took the risk. It doesn't cost anything to offer good wishes (unless the person is short). Good luck on your other endeavors.
