I wouldn't consider down 9% a "nice strong day", at least I wouldn't if I were a shareholder.
Even worse, absent less than $1,000 in buying at EOD, it would have been down 14% and that was on $10k worth of trading that preceded the late buys.

On the plus side, as the price falls I think you'll see volume dry up as large holders won't be able to sell without really tanking the price. Even though many may not be able to sell, it may slow down the price decline.
