Q & A with Barnett Medical President & CEO, Brett Espicha

June 29th, 2010
Recently, Brett Espicha, Present & CEO of Barnett Medical, agreed to interview with The MedClean Technologies Marketing Team. Our goal with this interview was to share with everyone the perspective of a buyer of The MedClean System, because aside from being our distribution partner, Barnett Medical is a customer as well. Brett and his team had the opportunity to visit with and learn about several of our competitors (Other on site medical waste treatment companies), ultimately signing agreements to align with MedClean Technologies.

Below is our brief Q & A with Brett Espicha, and I believe it represents our strength as a company to show significant value in our container/mobile delivery, acquisition options, service and marketing support, versatility, and distribution model, all of which are unmatched in our industry.

Q: Brett, can you tell us about being a Distribution Channel of The MedClean System, and tell us about Barnett's recent purchase of a MC4400?

(BE)- We are excited to have joined up with MedClean Technologies to implement this unique distribution model, especially since we are able to target end users directly and speak to them about The MedClean System coming for our own experience with it. We chose to purchase the MC4400 not only because of its versatility, ease of operation, and significant cost savings, but because it is a one touch system which creates a much safer environment of our employees.

Q: What are the states you cover presently with your distributor agreement, and can you give us your thoughts on where we will see Barnett expand to in the near future?

(BE)- Currently under our agreement with MedClean Technologies we service the western United States including California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, and we are expanding to Hawaii. Currently we serve small to large generators for medical waste transportation needs in the Northern California area. With the ability to transport The MedClean System very easily, we will be able to launch this service to Southern California. In the very near future, we are launching an independent medical waste transporters association which will network transporters together in a national alliance creating buying and bidding power, and a national reach with a local flare.

Q: I understand your company spent a significant amount of time researching autoclave technology, and companies like MedClean Technologies. You initially met representatives from MedClean at ASHES 2009. Can you explain to us why you chose to work with MedClean, any differentiating factors, and any thoughts you may have in regards to their (MedClean's) approach?

(BE)- We knew fairly early on that in order to stabilize our costs and assure long term growth we would need to become our own treatment facility. When we looked at several autoclave systems, the features we were looking for were: flexibility to handle the different waste streams, ease of operation, cost saving, and above all, safety. All these needs were met with The MedClean System. Acting as a distributor enabled us to expand our current products and services without requiring a large infusion of capital. MedClean has been very forward thinking in allowing us to create the best cost saving for our customer by allowing them to be in control of their waste streams.

Kind Regards,

MedClean Marketing Team
