213 will probably delete this, since he deleted my last post. (WHICH LET NEW PEOPLE KNOW WHAT HAPPENED ON FRIDAY!!!) TTC is involved with the patent for the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS)that Smartire had/has.

TPMS sensors have become a high profile topic in automotive circles due in part to the Federal Government’s initiative to inform drivers about potential safety issues associated with low tire pressure. Possible problems associated with low tire pressure include increased tire stress, uneven wear and other
concerns that could lead to loss of control and accidents. Government has mandated that Tire Pressure Monitor Systems (TPMS) become standard on all 2008 model year vehicles and beyond.

A tire pressure monitoring system is an electronic sensor and display system designed to monitor the air pressure inside your car or light truck tires. A TPMS sensor is attached to the wheel inside your vehicle’s tires and monitors the tires constantly, sending real-time reporting to the on-board computer in your vehicle. The on-board computer alerts you with a warning signal that your tire pressure is too low or too high.

TPMS or Tire Pressure Monitoring System
TPMS is a computerized system designed to monitor the air pressure inside your car or light truck tires. Tire pressure monitoring systems became mandatory equipment on all 2008 vehicles and beyond, in order to prevent incidents associated with low tire pressure.

The TPMS system receives real-time input from wheel-mounted sensors mounted on each of the tires on a vehicle. Each sensor transmits pressure and temperature data to the on-board tire pressure monitor. A dashboard display alerts the driver of low tire pressure of a system malfunction. If there is a loss of air pressure, the sensor sends a signal to the on-board tire pressure monitor, where the driver is notified through a low tire pressure warning light as seen below.

For more TPMS information please reference the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). As of 2008, the NHTSA requires that all passenger cars and light trucks feature the Tire Pressure Monitoring System. Also, the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers (AAM) in concurrence with the new requirements has started a consumer safety campaign centering on the importance of maintaining proper tire pressure. The Alliance has a website www.checkmytires.com as part of their TPMS campaign presenting resources about Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) and the importance in maintaining proper tire pressure.

Google (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) for more info, and Amazon for prices for the product.

213, if you delete/block people you don't agree with, some info/Q's are lost. Friday was shorts covering. It was cheaper for the MM's to give them their shorts, then to go after their stops. Too many people have their profits set too high. Learn to read the Q's from the MM's and you will see which way the AX is swinging.
