Computshare will setup an account for everyone and send you the account # etc to access your account. They handle everthying. Once your six months is up your then fill the tansfer forms out at scottrade directing them to take the funds/shares out of compushare and tranfer them into your scottrade. It is pretty easy and compushare & scottrade will help getting this done.
