We talk about "them," the MMs, as though they were real-life PEOPLE.

"They" are doing..."They" are not doing..."They" are up to...etc.

ARE THEY?

Real, living PEOPLE? Human beings making minute-by-minute...and even second-by-second DECISIONS? People, men and women, with their hands on the wheels, buttons, and switches?

Please...I DO WONDER...I cannot believe...in fact, I DO not believe...that there are real-life human beings who move and manipulate the Share Prices at L2.

Aren't the "MMs" really COMPUTERS? Yes?

And, aren't those computers PROGRAMMED, and aren't these programs based on some sort (I am not a math major, sorry) of "algorithms?"

Dumb, unthinking, unfeeling, imperceptive ALGORITHMS?

And, IF my hunch is correct about the MMs being merely huge banks of computers, then it truly IS astonishing and frustrating as to just HOW they could have been SO DIABOLICALLY programmed with "algorithms" or whatever.

HOW to they (the software engineers etc.) manage to DO this? To construct such amazing functions and tasks as these COMPUTERIZED (and apparently "living") MMs?

I just am wondering aloud. The gist of this Post is that I just cannot believe that there are real-life PEOPLE who we usually identify as "they" and "the MMs."

I mean...THINK ABOUT IT. There are THOUSANDS of Stocks out there...that would require TENS OF THOUSANDS OF LIVING PEOPLE, with a TEAM OF PEOPLE assigned to (and monitoring throughout each Trading Day) each Stock.

What do you think? CAN ANYONE CLARIFY, or agree, or dispute this?

I AM HOLDING LONG, really LONG of course.

All the Best to Everyone! smile
