Only one year behind now <bg>. But, based on my quick glance, they might actually survive. Only lost 2 cents a share for 2009.
Net sales decreased to approximately $5,899,000 in 2009 from approximately $15,371,000 in 2008, a decrease of $9,472,000 or 61.6%.
Gross margin percentage decreased to approximately 50.9% in 2009 from approximately 68.2% in 2008.
Total operating expenses decreased to approximately $3,243,000 in 2009, down from approximately $13,673,000 in 2008, a decrease of $10,430,000, or 76.3%.
Our net loss for the year ended December 31, 2009 was approximately $241,000, compared to a 2008 net loss of approximately $3,156,000. The major reason for the 2009 net loss was the reduction of the U.S. DRTV distribution channel. Despite a decrease in revenue of approximately 61.6%, the decrease in operating expenses related to the reduction of the DRTV distribution channel, approximately 76.4%, was greater which contributed to the reduction in the overall net loss in 2009. In addition there was an attempt to launch the DermaWand product brand in U.S. retail store locations in the fall of 2008. However, the retail channel launch did not occur as the U.S. economy suffered a major downturn in 2008.
