Is ATNP buying back/retiring shares?

After the last forward split ATNP had 10,746,040,000 as of Apr 6, 2010.

Today, according to Etrade, TD Ameritrade and Google finance, they have 9.3 Billion.

Confirmed by 3 separate sources. Thoughts on this? This obviously has gone unnoticed but a 10% buyback is significant and could be a sign they are generating and using revenue to buyback and retire shares.

A PR stating this would be huge.
