I'll freely admit that my understanding of CEFs is, at present, limited. Exchange traded, mutual and hedge funds I all understand. But closed end funds are not something I really "get" right now.

I, personally, like ETFs because of their transparency (Which is why I like HYG for the high-yield bond market). Everything I want to know about the fund is right there on iShares' website (A company I think is so good, in fact, that I'm accumulating their parent company, Black Rock - BLK).

I've looked around Credit Suisse's site and I can't seem to find any info on CIK except for dividend declarations and SEC filings. I actually had to go to the SEC just to see what the fund owned, and I still can't find out how they make their money.
