a couple questions for the board

1. what happens if you hold a short position through a reverse stock spilt? will it force me to cover beforehand? or will it just get adjusted just like a long position
example:
pre stock split
XYZ trading at 1.00 and 10:1 rs is coming.
i short 100 shares at 1.00

after stock r/split
do i now have a 10 dollar price short of 10 stocks?

2. ALSO Zigzagman, i read in an earlier post you may short the $spx soon
what does this mean? i didnt know you could short a whole major market index, do you have an ETF that follows it? ar maybe a fund?
