In regards to 1973, Senator. I do remember it well. Gas lines and double digit interest rates. That's when the price of gas doubled, even though we were only importing 5% of our oil from OPEC. That's also when our Govt. handed out huge amounts of money to the oil co's to come up with an alternative fuel source. Gee, I wonder why it took 35 years, and why the auto industry did absolutely nothing. Bet you might be able to guess who runs this country and why we'll still be using gasoline for the next 35 years. Good for HLNT and their future. Oh, yes, and about this spill in the Gulf. When we're paying > $4.00 a gallon for gas at the pumps, you'll really understand who's paying for the clean up. Thank goodness for HNLT or we'd all be peddeling our butts down the street in 5 years.
