putting faith in any investment particularly one that keeps one's hopes up in spite of obfuscations, cloudy and vague statements about what is going on with the company,lack of asset and financial disclosure, generalizing the character of investments in a way investors seemed to be assured all is well but more time is needed and then things will work out positively, and kicking the can down the road about when closure will come and the investment will payoff- all of these things raise hope, but in the end the mailbox is empty and the investment is lost,though the investors somehow continue to go to the mailbox to just check.
