I seriously doubt that gizmo has the affective range that the Dazer and Defender do. They would have to be fairly close to burn anything... blinding is another issue though, also the person would have to have good aim because the focus would have to be tight to generate a high energy beam. In other words in a duel I think they would be puking before they could even get an accurate shot off. As John Wayne says whaaahuh
