SEVU needs to produce a good solid string of honest PR. It will take some time to rid the funk McBride has put on the company. Lots of folks are going to be really ripping the PR apart for the near future. However, If the new guy can keep to the facts, Keep focussed on things that have happened and not the pie in the sky stuff, maybe, just maybe, favourable Investor sentiment will return.

I have a few issue's with some of the wording in the PR, yeah yeah yeah guys here it comes. Serious. If SEVU ever wants to rid themselves of the McBride funk they must pay closer attention to the wording. If it appears to be double talk or intentionally confusing wording the new guy is going to get the same rap as McBride.

Here are a few examples: Not in any particualr order

Lets call them Misguided wording?

Company's Marine Division logged "best ever" sales figures at the Miami International Boat Show, which ended Tuesday. The estimated gross sales exceeded $50,000.

This whole paragraph has to be redone? Is it the best ever sales day or the best ever Miami boat show sales day? Investors can be confused by this. Estimated Gross sales? Again needs to be a little tighter, Smells to much like Rich.

a catalog retailer of high-tech video security products, issued a letter of interest following their evaluation of SecureView.

Issued a letter of interest? What did they reply to an ad? or fill out a response form? This is not a good paragraph to lead into this:

SuperCircuits mails its 80-page quarterly catalog to over 700,000 qualified customers. SuperCircuits, organized in 1990, quoted sales of $10M last year.

This paragraph is OK? But the leadin makes it kinda smelly? "letter of interest" "letter of intent" to much like SEVU of old

The Company is also receiving orders from smaller independent security-systems dealers, including a $30,000 deposit-secured order from an Arizona dealer.

Stuff like this is all to familiar, I call this Talking with both sides of your mouth. This has to stop. Is it a 30,000 order, or a deposit on a larger order as this implies? Confusing?

What are QUOTED sales??? Recorded? Booked? Announced? Guesstimates?

"In addition, it is my goal to only release sales and major contract information confirmed by letters of commitment and/or purchase orders."

"it is my goal" kind of non committal?

This may be better:

"SeaView will only approve the release of sales and major contract information for which it holds a Letter of Commitment and/or Purchase Order."

I know this may be a little nit picky, I agree it is, however, SEVU has a large hurdle to overcome. The PR from the past 18 months has been less than honest. I believe, and sure allot of you longs will agree, that the PR from the past is the single most devastating part all of the bashers go back to.

In order to clean the slate, Regain invesor confidence, SEVU must watch it's PR very very closely. Eveerybody else is going to!

Opinions? Comments welcome!
