Ferraro is right/the arguement that the 30% tax credit justifies anything doesn't apply when you are spending the additional 70% to get it.
The grid tie systems are up to the utility provider not WNDT.
The battery storage at the glass co. more than doubled the price, now tell me if it is not smarter to have 4 WNDTS, producing 14kw's or 2 with batteries producing 7kwh, which they won't because of the inherent losses from the battery and grid tie/inverters gobble up another 20% or more in efficiency. So is the incentive for peak shaving is more than double the output of the system? NO WAY. Sorry...
ALso if you are in a commercial application and you wish to sell excess power to the utility at "peak periods of time" you simply have that in your PPA, (power purchase agreement)/ This is a fantasy that you will have so much power at home or at your business to be effective at this.
You are paying retail for energy at your business, and selling wholesale to the utility...do the math. And in most cases it is just a credit anyway....my point is sell turbines, not fantasy peak shaving schemes...
