Good news on the move.
I wish they would concentrate on the performance issues rather than "peak load shaving"..it simply doesn't work in small scale generation. Even large wind farms can hardly justify the costs of storage and then releasing at peak demand rates.
New building is exciting, and now how about some peak salary shaving and hire somebody in the renewable energy business that understands the horse goes in the front of the cart. I'm sending Schmidt a calculator. The .04-.05 peak savings adds 50 year payback to the systems, and while the battery storage life cycle will be ten years or less, at 50k-60k a pop.
Rule of thumb, you only store excess energy, why spend 60K on a battery storage when you could buy 2 more WNDT's with that money and negate the peak power increase in price in the first instance. Cmon man...are we trying sell batteries or WindTamers?
