A question I have not heard asked is this:

Let's say I want to reserve a keyword nationwide for $10k. Now there are hundreds of area codes in this country. So once a company reserves even ONE area code, that keyword is now no longer available to me nationwide, right? Or do I buy whatever area codes are left? With that being said, what about people who live near the border of where that company has it reserved and where I take over.. Depends where they physically are as to which of us they get connected with?

Anyone have a clear answer on this?

If a Generic word is leased nationwide, word is locked. However, if a few area codes lease the same word first, the national lease does not cover those area codes.
Whoever leases the area code of your cell phone gets the call. Location can determine to which phone number you get connected to.

If you want to talk about it text ABC
