Not sure if this one will materialize -- currents have a lot of shear right now -- but at least its a start to the hurricane season.

Why is this important -- because specs will either have to buy-back lumber positions on expectations of damage (and low seasonal inventories) or on actual damage.

I am sure that for those trying to steal the company away, they do not want to see higher lumber prices.

So we just hope for more and more "bowling balls" as the season progresses.

With respect to other commodities / BP -- I am not sure what will happen to electricity, natural gas and crude if there is another Cat 5 that goes into La / Texas -- a lot of oil into / onto shore will likely damage much infrastructure for years to come.

It's one thing to remove oil from sand by shipping to Canadain oil sands refiners, its another to remove it off of damaged homes along shore (creating big demand for rebuilding).

PS -- I will not post every time there is a storm or a potential for a storm -- just know that might be one reason that lumber / timber is trading the way that it is, as we move through the summer months.
